Cookie Notice
Last updated 2026-05-21.
Plain-English summary. We use one essential cookie to remember your cookie choice. We also use Google Analytics to measure anonymous traffic, with IP addresses anonymized. In the EEA and UK it stays off until you accept; elsewhere it is on by default and you can turn it off any time. Nothing else.
What's a cookie
A small text file your browser stores so a website can remember something between visits, your login, your language, your cookie preference.
Cookies villexco.com sets
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| villexco_cc_v1 | Remembers your cookie choice (accept or essential-only). | 12 months | Essential |
| _ga | Google Analytics: tells anonymous visitors apart. Set when analytics runs; in the EEA and UK only after you accept. | 2 years | Analytics |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics: keeps session state. Set when analytics runs; in the EEA and UK only after you accept. | 2 years | Analytics |
How to opt out
Click Essential only in the cookie banner on first visit. Choosing Essential only switches Google Analytics off, deletes any analytics cookie already on your device, and we honor that choice everywhere. In the EEA and UK, analytics stays off until you choose Accept.
How to change your mind later
Withdrawing your choice is as easy as making it, and you do not need to clear anything in your browser. Open , or use the same Cookie settings control in the footer of every page. The banner comes back with both options live, and whichever one you pick then replaces your earlier choice.
Cookie categories, and what we use
Cookies are usually grouped into four categories. Essential cookies make a site work and cannot be switched off, such as the one that remembers your cookie choice. Functional cookies remember preferences like language or region. Analytics cookies measure how a site is used. Marketing cookies build advertising profiles across sites. Villex Co uses the essential cookie above plus Google Analytics (analytics category). In the EEA and UK it loads only after you accept; elsewhere it is on by default and you can opt out with Essential only. We do not run functional or marketing cookies on villexco.com.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can view, block, and delete cookies in any modern browser. In Chrome, open Settings, then Privacy and security, then Cookies and other site data. In Safari, open Settings, then Privacy. In Firefox, open Settings, then Privacy and Security. In Edge, open Settings, then Cookies and site permissions. You do not need any of this to change your cookie choice on villexco.com, the Cookie settings control above does that in one click. Blocking the essential cookie simply means the banner will ask for your choice again on your next visit.
Do Not Track and future changes
We use Google Consent Mode v2. In the EEA and UK, analytics stays denied and no analytics cookie is set until you choose Accept in the banner. Elsewhere, anonymous analytics is on by default with IP addresses anonymized, and choosing Essential only turns it off. We honor your choice everywhere. When you click out to Etsy or Gumroad to complete a purchase, those sites set their own cookies under their own policies, which we do not control.
